Paste-Up – a classic street poster art explained
Paste-Up is a street art term describing a paper poster that is “pasted-up“ with wheat paste on public walls. Different than graffiti, that is sprayed or painted on the wall, the paste-up is only temporarily and thus less destructive.
Due to modern technics, like photo copying, paste-up artist often repeat the same motive pasted-up on different locations.
Paste-Ups are mainly in black and white, only sometimes colored. The artists remain mostly unknown and use pseudonyms.
