Public Art: Kit-Yin Snyder

Art at Margaret Mitchell Square, 1986

Margaret Mitchells fiction novel, Gone With the Wind is set in Clayton County, Georgia and Atlanta during the American Civil War and Reconstruction. The artist Kit-Yin produced an homage to the south and to Margaret Mitchell with a contemporary sculpture made of stainless steel columns and archways. The idea is that the sculpture is representational of the architecture of antebellum mansions of the old South.
